Conventional Tunnelling
On 12th and 13th of September, the ITACET Foundation on behalf of ITA-AITES member Nation of Bhutan, represented by the Druk Green Power Corporation, organized a two-day training session in Thimphu (Bhutan) on the topic of “Conventional Tunnelling”.
This was the first Training session organized in Bhutan by the Foundation. The program covered the main aspects of conventional Tunnelling, and was divided in four session: Introduction and Site investigation; Design aspects; Construction and Monitoring and Management and Examples. 60 persons attended.

Over 140 participants attended the two-day training session held at the ITA World Tunnel Congress 2014 in Foz do Iguaçu.
Held in the Bourbon conference center in Foz do Iguaçu, the training session was co-organized by CBT (Brazilian Tunnelling Association), ITA-AITES ITA-CET Committee and the ITACET Foundation.
Risk issues and TBM Tunnelling Construction
Messer. Martin Knight and Tim Babendererde contributed to the International Bridges and Tunnels Technical Congress & Exhibition training course (IBTC2014), held in Shanghai, April 23 - 25 2014 .
M. Martin Knight lectured on "Tunnel Risk Issues" and M. Tim Bebendererde on "TBM Tunnel Construction".
Around one hundred participants followed with great interest the training session.
