World tunnel congress 2012 Bangkok

Thailand underground & Tunnelling Group TUTG, ITA-AITES and the ITACET Foundation jointly organized the traditional WTC training session aimed at young professionals.
This year the topic was “Urban Tunnelling in Urban Areas”; 163 participants from 33 different countries attended.
The training session was inaugurated by TUTG representative Prof. Noppadol PHIENWEJ and Mr. Andre Assis, chairman of the executive board of the ITACET Foundation.
The Foundation and the Thai organizer favored the participants of surrounding emerging countries by granting them a lower admission fee.
Furthermore, four members of the newly admitted member nation to ITA-AITES Myanmar were given free access to the training session.
The training session, hosted at the elegant Bangkok Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), was efficiently administered by TUTG staff at the great satisfaction of the participants and the lecturers.
